    Request: Add subtitles on cinematics

Please, add subtitles to the cinematics of Shadowbringers, Endwalker, Dawntrail and now Evercold.

Since Shadowbringers, the cinematics have been very text heavy in comparison to the previous ones from ARR, Heavensward and Stormblood, which were only music and muted scenes. The dialogue is often difficult to hear with the background lyrics and sound effects on top. The recent Evercold trailer was specially hard to understand, and the official Youtube channel doesn't include official subtitles.

I think it's a reasonable request, adding subtitles wouldn't be a hard task, and it would be immensely helpful for non-English speakers and people with hearing problems.

Seconding this. The mix is very blended, which does well for a cinematic viewing experience the first time but hinders some people's ability to hear without replaying an inordinate amount bit by bit.

I sent SE feedback about the lack of English subtitles in the Evercold teaser being an accessibility fail, and they replied with something about "it was subtitled in Japanese because the audio was in English". I sent them a reply telling them
    1. that they missed the point that there are English speaking people who have no idea what was said in the Evercold teaser because it wasn't subtitled in English
    2. that this isn't just a problem with FanFest but with the game itself; there are sometimes voiced lines in cutscenes that are not printed to the screen even though lines before and after or in the foreground of those lines are printed
    3. they need to hire an ADA coordinator to tell them when they're making simple mistakes like this.

They sent me a canned response about forwarding my request to the appropriate department.
