Do you guys want a bad community?

Ok this is in responce to some of the bashing and rude comments seen on this forum.

From my understanding, we have this forum to help improve the game, but also start building a great community. And so far this isn't the case. People are bashing, flaming, trolling other people. I can't speak for myself as I regreat some stuff I said. But from my years on ffxi, it was known for it having a helpful nice community. Yes there where bad eggs, but it was rare. Least in my eyes.

Pretty much this is my beef. Someone made a post saying up for lack of better terms upset on how difficault learning the games controls are. And a good % of the posts are being rude to the poster. Going as far as to say go back to WoW. Personally, I think that isn't needed. We should take the oppritunity to make this forum and game have a great community. If someone asks for help or seems troubled, help them out don't flame them. That will only chase ppl away. I think as you guys put it games bad enough w/o a horrific community.

For me playing or not I don't. It is (a bit dramatic) a disgrace to ffxi if ffxiv enhd up with a community similar to say Aion.

Hyperbole doesn't help your point (actually, it flaws it), while I would have never thought i would have ever defended Kilta, I'm sure I don't need to make you aware of the fact that the forums have been open for more than two weeks by now, and an average of less than 50 posts a day is nowhere that strange for an active forum user.

maybe it is time not to try and dictate what other people do with their own time?

As for the community, it's not nearly as bad as many others, but there sure is a number of individuals that come here with the sole intent of drooling negativity and bashing the game and the ones that happen to appreciate any aspect of it. The excessive use of sarcasm, personal attacks and hyperbolic criticism (which is the most widespread problem) is a clear sign of that. Unfortunately that's a taint from which no game's official forum is ever free.
Some people simply seem to be completely unable to move on when they dislike a game.
Pity.

hmm I think our community is good now. have some negative threads but no one using bad words and everyone post negative comments because they want the game get better, want to suggest or discuss with others

what I'm refering to is someone had a rough first day and didn't like the game. They had issues with the controls and pretty much ppl called them stupid, bashed them, and pretty much said go back to WoW.

I hope you wasn't one of them if so.Then I wouldn't say we have a good community.

And trolling happens if it is allowed to happen.

You know XI had a forum when it was released? Just like this, but there was so much hate, bashing and trolling that it got shutdown. I knew it would just happen all over again. It even happened in Beta.

But also know the mods here are quick, im sure you know just report flame post and a mod will most likely suspend.

SE is too blame for this also if they wouldn't of released such a broken game some of these problems would go away.
Unfortunately we have to deal with these open forums and all the negativity, trolling, and other things going on here.
SE should learn from this I don't know why you guys open threads like this it's not like you haven't visited other game forums in the past, yes you will still have negativity and attacking each other in other forums where the games launched ok. But when you have a game this broken released it's like adding fuel to a flame all I can say is " too bad"
