SQE will not dedicate time to balancing basically twice the amount of jobs as we have now forever. The writing is on the wall that reborn mode will be gone eventually, possibly 9.0 ... at least in the way how it will work in 8.0.
However, once 9.0 hits, I would like the devs to turn Reborn mode into "Advanced Evolved Mode."
Why?
To solve the issue between people wanting a more relaxed, easier-on-the-wrists gameplay mode, and those that want to challenge themselves.
Why wouldn't this be just like balancing reborn/evolved mode currently?
Because both Advanced and Regular Evolved mode will use the same design, Evolved will be just a more 'compacted' version.
I think people would probably be even fine with Evolved and Advanced Evolved doing the same damage, because I don't care what spec others are using, as long as I get to enjoy myself. That being said, if it would end up not being true, I guess it wouldn't be hard to balance the damage so that Evolved does slightly less than Advanced, so that there'd be an incentive for people to try out the harder mode.
Eitherway, balancing for the Evolved mode wouldn't really matter as much, because most people that want this kind of gameplay do not engage in content where damage actually matters. It still should be viable to clear all content with, though, with the potential exclusion of Ultimates, though I don't personally really care.
