I see, my linkshell mates usually buys out all my 40+ fish so I am not hurting for gil or anything, but it seems to be best to stick it out in grade 5 as long as you can! Thanks for the tips, btw

Well, considering the best bait for G6+ water needs to be farmed, definitely stick to the grade 5 untill you can't stand it any longer. Eventually you will only be getting 85-90 SP per fish, so at that point the 300 at grade 10 will be pretty sweet.

I find that Sinking Minnows are the best in G6, but not everyone will have easy access to them of course.

yeah but if you take the time to gather the bugs for the lacquer you could easily arrange to split the lures if somebody else made them for you, they can sell there share easy.
