Do you think Evercold will be rated M? I mean the new alliance raids are a tie in with a mature anime? I know this doesn't mean anything itself, but the rating in Japan was recently raised for other reasons.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is rated G in Japan by Eirin, which is equivalent to E in the US, and has a video rating of PG-12 which is still pretty low, by Japanese sensibilities, it is nowhere near as mature as you think.

I mean Nier's a rated M game, is it not? Didn't affect FFXIV's T rating with its inclusion. They just omit the "mature" stuff.

XVI is M and so is NieR and that meant nothing for the XIV crossovers.

Unless the alliance raid grinds to a halt to show everyone the scene of Asuka in the hospital from End of Evangelion, I think the age rating will probably stay as is.
