Nobody that you know or play with OR would want to play with, will care what mode you play.
Like people who care about that level of optimization are already probably using Magitech Optimization Devices (i.e. Mods) to cheat anyway.

This will 100% happen, and we'll see many threads here about the issue. Not saying this is good or bad, but if anyone thinks both versions will be accepted in PF or statics when CBU3 has a clear favorite, they haven't been paying attention.

I mean it's pretty obvious Reborn is only there to provide players with a familiar job they're used to when they start the next expansion without being completely lost and confused and having to relearn everything. You can bet i'll be happy to do it, but not everyone is. If anything, this is a safeguard SE is doing to prevent a gigantic backlash to novelty.
But the fact that the two new jobs will not get Reborn is pretty telling on its own. The fact that there is always going to be conflict, and a better one, and that by the words of the devs themselves evolved may be a tad bit ahead, is not innocent. They're 100% grandfathering Reborn mode and preparing for its retirement in the future.
Secretly had a crush on Mao

would actually like them to remove jobs from the game and not any more of them... mostly because they do not got the man power to make each one of them special in equal ways, it has been a problem since Shadow Bringers.
Yeah even the comment by Yoshi-P when unveiling it about Evolved doing slightly better rubbed me the wrong way.
The writing is on the wall for Reborn mode. It makes sense since button bloat in Reborn is getting out of hand and difficult for them to handle but...
I can only hope they make the transition smooth because it's an attempt to address a very real problem right now.
I fully expect Reborn to just vanish by 10.0.
They're just grandfathering in the older format for now and they came out the gate already saying Evolved tends to be stronger and with new jobs not having a Reborn mode, I think that's enough to get the vast majority to adopt Evolved and never look back.
Player
Oh it will happen. I just wonder how world first kills will affect the so called battle pass........It's supposed to have just a very little margin of difference between Reborn and Evolved, so unless people are trying Week 1/World First (Which we can admit it is a minority fraction of community) I believe there should be no need for worries. Obviously I can be wrong and the system comes absolutely broken, so let's hope Yoshi-p is certain about the balacing issue
I think it's for two reasons. To slowly ease people into the new "evolved" mode while still giving them the option for the old and familiar, before they slowly phase it out.I fully expect Reborn to just vanish by 10.0.

And to keep it as an actual fallback option for now, in case we all try the "evolved" mode and conclude that it's terrible. Would be bad to scrap the old design only to have to scramble to bring it back because your new one failed hard.
