    New Evolved Buttons

    I believe when I speak for a few people who don't want consolidation of skills to one button.

    Please include the ability to open the skills page click on the skill and move the skills in the combo out individually. Sometimes we want things separated.

    Provoke / Shirk being on the same button for example is terrible since if you mistarget you can use the incorrect skill. Unless they make macros queue-able (which they can't or won't) which will just end up making it 2 buttons anyways.

    So just put this in the game for Evolved combat, please -- being able to customize which skills we want to consolidate will be a great QoL!

    You are free to bind the button to 1, 2 and 3, and keep pressing 1-2-3. The rest of us can press 1-1-1. This option already exists, e.g. for Paladin Atonement chain, just put it 3x on the hotbar and you can press it as if it's separate buttons.

    Yeah but like... I mean granted, I get the worry. But this isn't an issue in other video games (not even MMORPGs, games in general!), so it feels a bit weird to worry about. Plus, you'd have to accidentally target a friendly player. That's not something you just randomly do.

    other games have animation lock and different lengths for one-button combos though. XIV does not do that kind of thing so there's less feedback for tracking where you are in a combo

    putting the same 1 combo button in 3 spots does not solve this since all of them will be flashing

    Guess you've never tried to glare a friendly target in your entire time in FF14 or bene'd yourself instead of your target. Guess you're just a god gamer? lol

    More customization is always good. My concern is more regarding being unable to bind 1,2,3 anymore after the change. Yes this option exists --- but will it still exist in the Evolved form for the job. Can you separate them in PVP? -- cause that's basically what they're doing.

    Very common with mouseover macros actually. Skills that already function this way are actually pretty annoying (enemy/friendly dashes for example are notoriously janky when models overlay). This just increases the friction for that style of gameplay.
