No doubt, take the chances you can and flank 2v1. I won't do the "I don't care who wins, so long as they lose" and throw the game, but I'll happily 2v1 an alliance if they're clearly dominating and will win unless they're kept in check. It's only fair! We want to win as much as they do and they'd show us no mercy.

I completely agree with everything you said and I'll regularly look to counter troublesome players. It's just sad that so few players share that mindset...
