Joining my voice to the chorus, the patch is catastrophic for frontline.
it is utterly innane that death is now absolutely not penalized at a personnal level.
This only reinforces bad and poor behaviors and doesn't promote any logical gameplay loop.
On a basic defensive and cooldown level, killing a BH5 can be resumed as a free "return to base, come back with full cooldowns reset". The asymetry of ressources becomes exponentially insane considering cooldown on death has been shortened previous patch. You spend your CDs for the dead person to come back at *more power* because their kit is reset now ?
This only gives more power to snowball for premade and well coordinated small groups, take any combination of four tanks, or assimilated (looking at you vipers) and there is no fail state for that team ?
same goes for suicidal samurai. PVP is supposed to be centered around preventing death and optimizing your gameplay. This choice to remove reduction of BH on death is absurd, catchback mechanic why not, but no loss is plain not going to work and needs to be roll backed at fast effect to prevent the PVP meta to fall even lower than it is now.
I won't even touch on the fact no innate DR changes were done, leaving tanks in a predominant position with even better setup now as they are ones who benefit the most (more heal, more damage exponentially multiplied by Damage reduction)
The guard buff can be ok, smite needed a nerf, not a buff
Its high time square enix leaves the gilded tower of numbers and come see real frontline battles, and not just their sanitized space of number sheets.
"Smite and Bloodbath are less used..." I would really appreciate the actual, factual, numbers being used. Prove your mettle Square Balance Team, show us.
