Well, now I just anticipate to find out what the reason of buffing smite will be.

lol the number of actual premades who spawn camp could be counted on one hand. do troll players do it? yea, sure. not everything bad that happens is cause actual premades
Oh dear more Viper buffs
Its on the PVP job guide page. This is literally the reason given: "Among role actions, Bloodbath and Smite are used comparatively less than Swift, so we have adjusted their effects to offer players more choice when it comes to offense."
Yes, they made a balance change because swift (the default btw) was the most popular.
Make of that what you will.

I am so upset, I am ready to unsub, and mod the game on a f2p account into ShB because everything so far has drives me up the wall with the illogical way of thinking.
WHY DOES SE MAKE THE EYES OF THE Shadowhound HELMET REMAIN PURPLE!? And undyeable. (Gotta wait for MODS! I GUESS HUEHUE!!!)
I am so done with this game. So done.
Samurai for pve buffed* not for pvp. Got nerfed in pvp about time. But Viper and Dragoon buffs were totally unnecessary. Nobody knows anymore what devs are doing with these balance patches. Bloodbath will be good for Viper but doubt for Sam.7.5 full notes in root message.

frontline specific reactions:
Smite goes through guard... oh god/i guess it doesn't matter in grand scheme of things because BH doesn't reduce
Bloodbath buff is going to be crazy on dragoon, samurai and viper (buffed again!)...huge aoe damage increase
haelan is now instant and heals self less...meh
99% DR on guard is good, but with how many skills we have going through guard...it's kinda whatever.
Next thing you know bravery will get a buff, because dervish is more popular. Its on the PVP job guide page. This is literally the reason given: "Among role actions, Bloodbath and Smite are used comparatively less than Swift, so we have adjusted their effects to offer players more choice when it comes to offense."

Bloodbath Sam is amazing.

My unsolicited feedback after two matches. The pvp balance team needs to be drug tested. The BH change is insane and does nothing for the casual (worse for mogtomers) player base and everything for pvp premades and vets. Your casual players are still not gonna press their buttons, still not going to burst together and still going to play passive. Your pvp vets and premades will feast with this. They can be even more aggressive, without any consideration for losing bh (not that that was ever really a serious consideration before anyway). If they think those type of players will consider pts lost from dying on bh5, they are dreaming. In general, you'll gain more than you lose.
It's insane to me that they would bring this change in. But hey, good for me too, I guess.
Removing the reducement of BH upon death is by far the worst change they have done in FL so far. FL is genuinely unplayble to me now.

Joining my voice to the chorus, the patch is catastrophic for frontline.
it is utterly innane that death is now absolutely not penalized at a personnal level.
This only reinforces bad and poor behaviors and doesn't promote any logical gameplay loop.
On a basic defensive and cooldown level, killing a BH5 can be resumed as a free "return to base, come back with full cooldowns reset". The asymetry of ressources becomes exponentially insane considering cooldown on death has been shortened previous patch. You spend your CDs for the dead person to come back at *more power* because their kit is reset now ?
This only gives more power to snowball for premade and well coordinated small groups, take any combination of four tanks, or assimilated (looking at you vipers) and there is no fail state for that team ?
same goes for suicidal samurai. PVP is supposed to be centered around preventing death and optimizing your gameplay. This choice to remove reduction of BH on death is absurd, catchback mechanic why not, but no loss is plain not going to work and needs to be roll backed at fast effect to prevent the PVP meta to fall even lower than it is now.
I won't even touch on the fact no innate DR changes were done, leaving tanks in a predominant position with even better setup now as they are ones who benefit the most (more heal, more damage exponentially multiplied by Damage reduction)
The guard buff can be ok, smite needed a nerf, not a buff
Its high time square enix leaves the gilded tower of numbers and come see real frontline battles, and not just their sanitized space of number sheets.
"Smite and Bloodbath are less used..." I would really appreciate the actual, factual, numbers being used. Prove your mettle Square Balance Team, show us.
