I feel like a true Freelancer job could require minimal work and make the game feel way more fun. Not sure how'd they do it, but I'm sure Square could find a way.

Man I just want a pirate job like Corsair. I don't even care what it does or what role it is, I'm just floored they haven't done it yet.
The next limited job, maybe? I mean, it's just miserable playing the game before you get your job stone, so IDK if anyone really wants a job based on that part again.

It could be interesting as some sort of limited job idea (perhaps some sort of job that can take actions from other jobs) but I feel like it wouldn’t have enough long term potential to be a full on job. I mean, there’s only so far you can take a job whose purpose is more or less just to be the plain Jane unspecialised starting job before it becomes something unrecognisable. Its whole identity is to have no identity.
A dewdrop can exalt us like the music of the sun

It would be interesting, and I suspect that, even if it isn't Freelancer, we'll probably get a full-spec version of one of the Occult Crescent Phantom jobs.
Personally, I'd rather like to see Mystic Knight as a full job.

I doubt that will happen. Considering you were a sudo-freelancer with 1.0's action/trait system and that was one of the first things Yoshida had the team saw down during the patches he took over.

Here's how I would do a Freelancer job in FFXIV;
*Is NOT a Limited Job.
*Has access to to all combat class/job abilities and traits, as well as role actions based on each combat class/job level, with shared traits prioritizing the highest level job in that role, including Limited Jobs.
*Can select up to 32 abilities across all combat classes/jobs, including Limited Jobs.
*Can equip all weapons, armor, and accessories.
*Brings back TP and uses it for job gauge abilities
*Has several unique traits that include converting main DPS stats into other main DPS stats, converting main role stats into other main role stats, and equipping a second weapon into the off-hand slot.
*Some weaponskills/spells/abilities require that class'/job's main weapon, mostly reserved for job gauge abilities.
*Is a DPS role.
*Can be used as the basis for Onion Knight(tank) or Mime(healer), and they also use TP instead of having a unique job gauge, and are also NOT Limited Jobs.
