I just noticed this after watching MrHappy's video. Even if I'm not going to FanFest, I'm wondering if there are healers going themselves because if somebody can actually throw a question about Healers, then that would be the most difficult question to answer since this will be after we get updates for 7.5's Patch.

Don't get your hopes up for hard hitting questions, they're all going to be screened. Sounds like they'll be sorted into 'easy' and 'hard' questions and they'll randomly select questions from each pile.

I believe there is a 99% chance that there will be no healer questions and if there are, they will be limited to fluff.

I did want to mention that there was a Q&A but nobody seemed to care despite a lot of prior requests for it to return.

Why would Yoshida reply differently than the countless times he's been asked about it already in the past? Most infamously "just go play ultimates if you're bored".

But if such a question is ever selected, I'm 100% expecting the reply to be verbatim what he said on the subject after Abyssos.

Right, we are told that (healers) are free, which is why healers tend to focus on firepower instead, and we should give healers more situations where they need to heal, and we increased the healing work required... I mean for the entire expansion and we did it but as expected this happens....so what are we supposed to do now hahaha...oh god if any I should be the one trying to discuss with you guys here. Aaaaaaahhh I mean yeah I knew this will definitely happen (long sigh). I mean I thought we've achieved quite a good balance here....(long ponder), Well yeah I mean if I have to start decreasing the difficulty and I'll get comments saying it's too lax (laughs). Well I will need data...either way we did indeed increase the intensity for sure, although this was the balance that was asked of us......I mean this is personal disparity, yeah, there are healers who are completely fine with this tuning, and there are other healers who would go "this is too hard I can't do this".

Yeah I apologize but please allow us to continue ponder on this matter and find out what is best and this is what we can do for now.

Yeah, I've read the summaries of old fanfest Q&A and even watched old media tours with Yoshi-p and if he does not to talk about it he will just rapidly deflect or mention they're pondering your feedback and thanks for a asking them before moving on to the next topic. It's in his best interest that he will be always vague if the topic is too challenging or difficult to explain to an audience or makes FFXIV look badly in public.

I want to believe that maybe this time they WILL listen to feedback and take the hard questions because of the slump Dawntrail put the game into and they want to truly course correct, but you know what they say about wishing in one hand and spitting in the other...
