Playable Lupin - Please, I beg!

To this day I'm still a bit baffled that they gave us a second cat race before playable Lupin (just like I'm baffled that they chose to make male Hrothgar hunched and chunky and with only one face allowed to have a Ronso horn but that's neither here nor there).

At this point... as much as I would like to have Lupin, I don't trust SE not to mess them up like they did with Viera and Hrothgar. If they fix the aforementioned races and make finally everything compatible with them, and manage to release Lupin in a similarly completed state then sure, I'd love to have them. But I expect KH4 to be out before that happens.

They also said they were open to feedback on the topic when it comes to races, numerous times even. And yes, I as I have said before, I am 100% okay with not having headgear and hairstyles. The current lupin do not so this would stick true to how Lupin are. Now I know other people will want hairstyles and what not and that's fine. Though I think they don't -need- them.

They can think about adding new races when they finish implementing Viera and Hrothgar, which given their work flow, might take another 7+ years.

Even then I could only see Lupin working if they overhauled the race to give it access to hairstyles and head gear, the same way Blizzard had to redo various parts of the Worgen to make them work once they got promoted from enemy mob to playable race.

Let me pop a costume that turns my character into beast races when in towns, like Lupins and Goblins. The tech exists, as shown during the yearly Halloween events.

I remember XI had items like belts with charges that could dispense these costume effects. Do it here, too.

On a serious note, I have no idea what people consider to be "normal"... I have no idea why this post has so many likes.
Are humans "normal"? We already have those (Hyur).
Elezens and Roegadyn could somewhat be considered "normal", Elezens are a variation on the Elf trope and Roegadyn on the Orc trope.
Maybe Lalafell as well, they are a variation on Gnomes/Dwarves.
Every other race is fairly exotic.
What is normal is based on subjectiveness.

+1 to the OP, hope you get your Lupin eventually.
But the way they are could pose a risk, they were build to work with a few pieces of gear (the ones we see them in during SB), but hats and hairstyles were not accounted for. And from what we have learned from Hrothgar and Viera, the community doesn't like it. Period.

What I would suggest, is a "cousin" of the Lupin being introduced, same body-wise, but the head slightly differing, like that of a Husky mixed with a human. A bit more rounder and with normal hairstyles.
I would also try not to copy Hrothgar too much, since it would defeat the idea of adding more options. Instead of going the Roe-like route, I would look more akin to Elezen. Tall, svelte and proud, like wolves are.

Also the community will not be ok with another limited race, and frankly they shouldn't be. They should either take their time adding a good full race or not at all. It was not fair when male Hrothgar had to buy Fantasias just to change their Hairstyles, nor was it a fun experience when you got cool head gear that you could not equip. Frankly, we deserve better than that.

Again, I will support more customisation always! So hope you will eventually get your wolf boys and girls!
