Going Slow But Having Fun Still

I have about 150 hours in the game after starting 4 months ago. I have a lot of fun in the game but being only MSQ LVL 17 sometimes I feel bad I am not at the level of everyone else and am going to get left behind. I am starting to go faster now that I am better at reading maps to figure out how to get places for the quests but it takes me a long time to read and I don't want to skim the MSQ text. Another thing is that travel in the game is so much fun that I still don't teleport a lot.

Dont worry about being at the same level or speed of anyone else. This is your journey, how long it takes only matters to you. Have fun, enjoy the ride. The team is currently working on the 6th expansion(which will be officially announced in a few weeks). When that goes live then in an instant no one will be caught up anymore. Some people will rush through it in a weekend, others will take months. Being caught up is a moving target that only matters if you want it to. And while you wouldnt have much of a chance to experience this yet, the game has a decent match-making system to help newer players run older content(including bonuses for veterans going in to help). That in addition to a great deal of the content supporting either group or solo options. Best of luck!

That's fine. Everyone does it at their own pace. I personally don't teleport at all when doing the MSQ, just so it doesn't take me out of the story, so I'd probably take years if I was started now. I only got through the whole thing because I did it 10-11 years ago when there was far less of it.

Don't rush as it will only spoil your fun. I started by far longer ago than you (March 2025) and I have still not finished the MSQ with my main toon (I give priority to the fun and want to have it comfortable).

The content of this game did build up over several decades. There is no way you can catch it all within a few months!

I did the error at the beginning to try to go fast and it became an unpleasant grinding quite rapidly at which I lost the fun, until I stopped doing that and started to enjoy at my own pace. Take it easy!
