Warg Jackets glam request.

This is mostly a throw away tread. Nothing to really discuss or fight about.
It's something that won't be on page one for long.
Just a personal request that will probably never happen.

So, I really like the Warg Jackets from Shadowbringers. Even if they can't be dyed.
There is however a reason I don't wear them.
It's the tails. I'm just not a fan of them.

However, in cases like this I would just write the gear off.
The tail is part of the design I won't bother asking for a version without them.
Example: I like the Woad Skydruid's Fur from Heavensward, but not so much the tattoo.


That being said. Dawntrail has added versions of the jackets without tails.
Only NPCs have them. Notably NPC Tawhe kind of has the one I want.
She is using Aiming or Striking Warg Jacket without a tail while I'd like the Warg Jacket of Scouting without a tail.

I mostly just like the scouting one's colors a little more due to the undyeable thing.
The Maiming or Fending Warg Jacket without a tail is also being used by Dawntrail NPCs.

I figure I'd post this now so that maybe these versions of the Warg jackets can be dungeon gear or something one day. It's already in the game just not accessible for players yet.

With the amazing glamour update, I've been playing around trying to find that perfect glam and I've found it. Just that final piece is right there out of reach.

As for the Fending/Maiming if you've done the Dawntrail melee role quests you've for sure see it already.

Side note: I'm surprised they've never made an alternate version of the Woad set.
It's another amazing rough fur glam. Though maybe there's hope. They made an alternate version of the WHM weapon Prester in Dawntrail.
Plus, already won with the Riversbreath Chestwrap of Casting. I liked the Paglth'an Chestwraps.
Just not a fan of temporary tattoos that come off with the outfit or on Fur/scales when I'm Hrothgar/Au ra.

Ooh. I hadn't realized they were a little different.

Adding them as a slightly different, dyable set in a future dungeon would be my best suggestion on how to make this reasonably possible, and the devs have done just that in the past.

Pleaaaase I really want tail-less dyeable Warg gear (still waiting on dyeable Sohm Al gear too). Also on the subject of NPC exclusive variants of gear I really want the sleeveless version of the Oasis Doublet that some Ul'dah NPCs wear.

I still think about the warg sets often, since Shb and I even went out of my way to collect them from the mogtome and dungeon spamming.

Then I hope they will be recycled for future gear along with being upgraded for the DT textures since it's still a unique models and designs but just rough looking in 2026 compared to modern glams nowadays.

I've often thought it'd be cool if the visor toggle button could be expanded to other gear slots as well, and this would be a great use-case for that. There are many pieces of gear which would benefit from an option to toggle certain features. Another example would be the tattoo on the Skyworker's Singlet.

SE should add dyeable versions of the Warg sets. It will be the perfect excuse to make them tailless, too
