How does anyone take pvp seriously?

Yeah, exactly. Like, a good 3/4th of FLs I do I feel completely superfluous and wish I could just AFK because instead I spend 15 minutes making zero progress towards anything I actually want.

In PvE, other players can often carry you through a mistake or two.
PvP is different.
If you don't know what you're doing in a team fight, you don't just underperform, you become a burden on your team.
That said, PvP has a learning curve, and that's completely normal.

The only way to get better is to keep playing, make mistakes, and learn from them.
What won't help is complaining every time you run into something you don't know how to deal with.
Instead of asking for it to be removed or nerfed, figure out how it works and adapt.
Remember, your opponent isn't a scripted boss.
They are another player who's trying to outplay you.
Adapting to what other players do is the whole point of PvP.
