Idea for birthdays + mail system...

If we could have birthdays set somewhere (no verification needed, obviously, so you can fake them) then our characters could be sent unique/untradeable birthday cakes in the mail on their birthday... maybe a 100% bonus exp (max 10,000 exp) over 3 hours or something. This would be a nice little gesture from Square-Enix for your birthday, and make the game seem a little friendlier while it's at it.

I wouldn't mind a home decor item, or, a multiple-option reward system. Lets say your options are like XI, where you have like, 5 choices. You can get a slip to take friends on some odd raid, a furniture item (something small), maybe armor dye that would change one item to some unique color -- etc.


All in all, it would be nice, but I don't see this being on their radar for a while. Sort of hard to get really small and simple idea's like this to their team's attention, that being said, I don't even want it on their "to do" list anytime soon, but certainly a cool idea down the road.

On topic: Yeah I like it, GW1 did this and I was always really happy when my character had a birthday present in his inventory (though it was based on the date of character creation, and every year after on that date)

I really like having a unique home decoration item, it would be great. Though I think people would just make characters on the next day they were created just so they can get the item. I just put in my RL birthday it's more fun that way.

I'm sure most of you already know this, but we already set a birthday for our character. See: Name Day.
The moon represents the month, and the sun represents the day.

With that said, I'd love for anything involving our birthdays. I'm always down for more fun stuff to look forward too.

Well I know but I'm just saying if they give items away on birthday like furniture and stuff, people would only make character's birthdays shortly after they are created just to receive the gifts, if you know what I mean.
