Smiley on map: Intentional?

Hello All

Today, while wandering in Shaaloani (Xak Tural), east of aetheryte Sheshenewezi Springs, right side of location X20.6 / Y17.7 (facing north), I had the surprise to discover a smiley on my compass & map.

I have no site to store pictures so I have no way to copy/paste a link in here to show the screenshot I took, but you can go see by yourself if you get an occasion.

My question: Is that smiley intentional? If yes, are there others dispatched in the world, like a sort of game inside the game (or like easter eggs)?

Probably intentional, given the Moai appearences throughout the FF series are a thing (and that includes many examples already in FFXIV). I know there was a smiley face in a crater on the Moon in FFIV (in turn referencing a paraediolic image taken of a crater on Mars) so it's possible that might be what it's referencing.
