Yes. Early development has meant the death magician spends most of their time trying to restore themselves or reduce the bloodletting rather than focus on utter annihilation of the enemy, but we shall get there eventually, sir.
- You're fired, Parker.

Goofy skits aside the whole 'casting from HP' schtick has seldom operated smoothly in games unless strictly limited or everyone is cutting themselves to achieve arcane power. Even in systems far more complex than XIV allowing for wider range of playstyle the blood only (on the Gilesbie diet) mage has run up against the unfortunate extremes where it becomes the blood fountain of youth or an anemic the entire party has to work harder to compensate for when they have fainted from blood loss after 'busting' into tears (more often the former).

I mean Curses, Life draining (can drain life and grant to party VIA classic ff spell of drain. There is resurrection VIA skeletons, ghost.

And my favorite reanimation of corpses. In short daddy death type of ability's are really great, yes we have reaper but that's more void than death sadly, don't get me wrong void is nice and all but.. Technically Death magic is both mentioned in dark knight story (reanimated freya body technically with part of yourself) and white mage story.. yet We have no job that truly relies on death. We really should have a Death kin, anyways if anyone responds to this I won't be able to reply to later tonight now Im off to color a graveyard and play with spectra/frankie
