Apartments/Free Company rooms are finally included in the updates (keep it up)

If they did apartment upgrades (being able to turn the inside into a small or something similar) it would probably be a good start to "everyone can have a house" and because they aren't linked to a demo timer you won't have to worry about them going away if you want to unsub for awhile. It seems like a win/win scenario.

I don't know why people say this when players are the one's that wanted housing demolition. WE WANTED IT AS A SUB TRAP. THAT IS INTENDED DESIGN.

I think this won't happen until 10.0 or later. That requires changing the entire coding for how housing is saved and not just optimized it.
Increasing housing by 50% took them having to optimize the code for nearly a year, about to be 2 years to have it where the server can handle loading the item positions if every house was upgraded from a small to a large and had double the stress for 60-70% of the plots in the game.
Apartments are 90 count compared to like 22 small's per ward area. And you have the unknown amount of FC chambers that might match that as well. And those are 100 housing items rn compared 200 from smalls. That's 8-16x bigger (double->size, quadra->count) of a problem /before/ people swarm apartments on every world.
I can't see them doing that by 8.0, and between cross-dc duty finder if its even possible to make still + the baseline housing market demand changing from smalls being larges, I think it's likely they take the entirety of 8.0 to do nothing but observe before deciding what to do next. 9.0 would be earliest it might get announced, 10.0 for implementation.

Doubtful if they ever improve or add more rooms to apt or FC rooms like you can still grow flowers in pots for rooms atm too.

yet ffxi had no problems doing this. shoot they even went as far as adding upgrades to make it two floors and having a garden room. To top it off, furniture actually gave perks to the player to... no its lazy coding development at this point when you compare to what a 30 year old mmo had in terms what you can do in a room by the same company. A person shouldn't be tied to sub in fear loosing their the plot. it a crapshoot move the yoshi and cbe3 continues to do.

I really hope they do the interior size-growth for those places, but given the interior design swaps didn't apply to FC rooms or apartments, I'm almost certain they won't >< (Unless there's been statements confirming one way or another)

If we're going to go with instance housing , you have to turn off the demolition timer.
