This is because even if they die a lot, there are 6 healers and usually a lot of rezzers to resurrect them.

The high-difficulty content in this game that gets referred to as raiding typically includes this in the name: Minstrel's Ballad/(Extreme)/(Unreal)/(Chaotic), (Savage), (Ultimate)

World server population barely makes a difference except for joining a Free Company or getting a house, because these are world-exclusive. For all other purposes, you can visit other worlds for free by clicking the Limsa aetheryte or other data centers by logging to the character selection screen and right-clicking your character.

Data Center population is what matters, because when you queue for a dungeon, it draws on people from the entire data center. So you see, Coeurl and Malboro are on the same data center (Crystal) and therefore share the same selection of players if you queue for, say, a NieR raid. They also share the same selection of parties recruiting in /partyfinder.

As far as Data Center population goes, certain data centers are known for different things:
  • Crystal is known for roleplaying.
  • Aether is known for raiding.
  • Primal is kind of a mix, and if known for something it's PvP, but you can easily do this on Crystal/Aether.
  • Dynamis was a new data center that got made and struggled to get off the ground, so it's mostly new players. Due to it not being congested, it gets RP events and players chasing house plots as well. It's not a good choice if you want the highest populated data center.
You may find some communities at https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...ldname=Malboro - just be logged into the lodestone, select character and then post on the FC or CWLS that interests you.

Roleplaying events are often advertised in the "Other" category in /partyfinder. You may also find some advertised in the /fellowshipfinder.
Oh how awesome, I had no idea! Thank you so much for the information!

So TL;DR, maybe get familiar with the actual raiding content before I make a swap and just stay where I'm at for now, hehe. Thank you!
