I am just returning to the game from a couple month hiatus. And now I have no clue how to get good SP. I really never did in the first place lol. It sounds like a few of you have it figured out. Please enlighten me! If it requires PTing then how do I get a PT? My LS's are dead and there is never anyone using the party search function.

I'm R31 THM which is what I'm focusing on. And I'm on Mysidia. PT me! Thanks in advance

There's a few things you can at your rank for sp. If you're in Ul'dah which I highly recommend you to be. You should be doing your behests at either nanawa mines or at Nophica wells they both have good leve's available at your level and join those groups. often people doing leve's will pause them to do behest join up with them and then ask to join their leve party.

Also i would shout ini town to see if any ls's are looking for members, someone should send you a /t and an inv because all ls's still active are looking for members. As well there was a significant boost in how SP is delivered from solo'ing, pt, leves, and behest. Here is a list of good leve's you can do


Nophica Wells
Necrologos: Levinshower
Necrologos: The Light's Corrivals
Secret of the Sewers This one is ok decent sp
Securing Nophica's Wells this one as well is decent

Nanawa Mines
Necrologos: Adamantine Wills
Corpus Adamance

The rest are so so and are worth doing for the faction credits and gil rewards.

These ones when almost done and the last mob go to the aether and abandon them and on next reset you'll get them back rinse and repeat and you'll be onto your rank 40 leve's.

Necrologos: Levinshower
Necrologos: The Light's Corrivals

Once at rank 40 leve's the two in Ul'dah for Camp broken water are:

All Cracked Up
Dunesfolk for Dinner
Necrologos: Ranine Reveries

In a way I do sympathize with the OP here, though I must say, I usually get more SP than that even when soloing leves. Not a ton, mind you, but I usually get at least 1600 per leve even on a crummy leve with no GA.

But leves are touted as being great for people who don't have a lot of time and want to log in and make some progress in the limited time that they do have. They are supposed to be good for soloing since finding a party -- even a small one -- takes time and/or luck. As it is though, the discrepancy in SP gains from being in a leve-link party vs. soloing your leves is really huge.

But mind you, I have terrible luck finding leve parties, so my opinion probably differs from those of you that are more successful in this.

As a group of 4 we do 6 Leves and get around 80k SP (100k if we do doubles)in 2 hours if we rush through. We do Dunesfolk, Cracked Up, Necro Ranine at Broken Water. The head to Nophica and do Levinshower, then it's off to Casseopia Hollow for Necro Inferno, then we finish up with Cedarwood and Necro Lightsome. We do those leves from R30-R50 every reset and get amazing SP very quickly (over 1k per kill for Dunesfolk). Only problem is because the SP is so good it makes all other SP seem like a waste of time so that can be annoying.

I really think they need to fix partying and grinding and then make leves be the casual content that it was supposed to be. Leve were supposed to be for people who didn't have much time so they could do them and get a quick boost but what has happened now is that they are so good when you do them in a group it makes them the only thing worth doing.

That's not fair what ya'll are doing though.. You are purposely abandoning missions to get max sp every 36 hours. That's not too much fun IMO. They shouldn't let you repeat a mission you 'failed' previously. THAT'S what they need to fix.

SE already stated that it is ok to do it as the trade off is you don't get the reward as you don't complete it so it's not cheating in anyway. Besides leves are boring and if you don't do what we do the SP is pretty bad too so if they "fixed" it then there would really be nothing to do but an even slower more mindless grind to R50.

EDIT: Personally, I find it boring to rank up through mostly leves. There's not much fun to it. I like grinding, and there was A LOT of it before the November patch when everyone got random sp. Leves weren't the main source of sp, and were mostly how you made money if you didn't do DoH or DoL

Ridiculous. Leves shouldnt be such a big source of EXP/SP that you only do them for it and nothing else. Actual parties should dominate this game and leve's should be a side bonus. Nothing more.

Anybody who disagrees is an idiot.

Introduce an EXP/SP cap per kill on leve mobs.

Do you really want to do the same 4 leve one after another instead of just link the and get the combined sp in one leve you would from 4? Also it saves GA using it once instead of four times allowing you to use it once and not four times allowing the player to maximize the benefits of the system.

I also like the lave system because it does promote players to group to maximize the results of the leve. I think the cap if there was one should be 1k sp if it was to be limited, but I am on the side of not limiting the sp gained from leve's.

Are you SURE that's how it works? I thought you just get the rewards of your leve if someone else starts the same one but you don't leve link. Doesn't it just get rid of yours?

You get the completion reward but say one person starts, and another person links, you still get the combined SP of the two, just like they do. Even if you didn't link.
