I actually love this.
Kind of reminds me of Monster Hunter gears.
Level 50 cap (???), only 50 monsters
My expectations were low and still I am disappointed
The level cap should've been at least 60. Hopefully they will update the job regularly instead of only once every 2 years.
Still, no job should be limited. BST and BLU should be full jobs with the option of engaging in additional content using special actions, what is now the Limited mode.

And after 2 years of waiting since its reveal we find out the big beastmaster update is... do ARR dungeons with npcs and afk in limsa with animals? Somehow it's exactly what you've come to expect from this game and yet still boggles the mind that this was created.
I would be genuinely very surprised if they gave us 50 unique monsters
I am expecting at least a third of the lineup being reskins


I expect that, since the BLU book started with 50 spells, it'll play out very similar to that
And in those 50 spells, there were multiple reskins. Flamethrower and Aqua Breath and The Look and Ink Jet, all Cone AOEs, functionally interchangeable in 99% of content (their elements/bonus effects only matter in Carnivale). Or Plaincracker, High Voltage, Mind Blast, Ram's Voice and 1000 needles. They're all circles around yourself, and the only one that is different enough to be noticeably different in most content is 1000 needles, because it does exactly 1000 damage. Which translates to 'it becomes useless after level 30' so while it's a funny attack, it's not a good attack
In fact, a long time ago, I did a thought experiment of sorts, to create a 'standardised kit' every BLU would get via levelling (to disarm Yoshi-P's assertion of 'what if a BLU joined a raid group but didn't have every spell unlocked), and having the current book be 'alternate animations' for those spells. At the time, it was the Stormblood update, so no Apokalypsis, Winged Reprobation, etc from SHB. What I found was that roughly half of the spells we had at the time, were one of five categories: Line AOE, Circle AOE around self, Circle AOE around target, Single Target, and Cone AOE
So in BST terms, I expect that there will be like 4 or 5 different catchable mobs that are just filler and are functionally identical/reskins of one another. IE a Cave Bat and a Chigoe are going to be extremely similar in what kind of damage they deal, and how much

Healers feel like they've fallen behind the times, designed for a game that no longer exists. I believe SE can update Healer designs to better fit the modern raiding environment they're now creating, offering optimizations for players to master, while still remaining accessible to new players to the role, all while enhancing Job Identity of each Healer by creating a unique gameplay loop for each individual Job in the role.
