windows and steam versions of ff14 question

sorry this also a question for community as well as any internal teams might see this and if wrong board let me know will try move topic as a bit unsure.
I have moved from windows to PS 5 mainly to use FF14 but was thinking if ever wanted transfer to something like steam version is this possible as my original set up was on the windows version.
i know i had issues in past when Heavensward came out when using steam with old windows account to allow stay on same profile and they classed as different platforms and had to stick with windows version so wanted check if been any updates to this i may have missed around being able use either version or even adding a add steam option such as how i got a new PS 5 version but could still use current account i have.

Currently on bit downtime from ff14 at the moment because burned through most content as a casual that does not do advanced skill content beyond standard raids i still occasionally on though to do runs of the ff11 raids and seasonal events as still have active sub but will be back for next patch fully.

You cannot own both a Steam version and Windows version at the same time.

This has been problematic since the dawn of ARR.

You can only have one or the other.

Thank you Veritas-Ancora for this update as was unsure. Was worth checking in as been a while. if does change in future would be open to set up a steam one but going stick on PS 5 for now.
