Thread: The Implications of The Third Walk (24 man spoilers)

Ok, so. Are we actually going to Vana'diel at some point??? Or was that "Maybe I'll come visit." all in a "I'll come visit in another life as the FF11 protagonist." kinda way?

Cus it sounded like we might be serious, to me. And then I factor in that Shantotto messing with Rift travel and visiting Etherys twice is canon now. And we have the whole key thing. And the fact Iroha is the only crossover event protagonist to have stayed in Eorzea and her whereabouts aren't accounted for. It just seems like our WoL is slowly getting more and more connections to the place.

I used to think it was a silly idea that we'd actually go there. But with that entire last bit of story, I'm honestly not so sure now.

I doubt its a shard of Etherys, due to the origin story of mankind and such being so different. But with the races being similar, but slightly off and all... maybe its a parallel dimension of Etherys? As in, the unsundered & whole Etherys. Just trying to spitball to see how it could work, in theory.

But yeah, a Vana'diel with FF14 game systems and mechanics (maybe with a sprinkle of legacy 11-style stuff for flavor), and FF11 as a backstory? Sounds like a good set up for an expac, eventually.

(Or another 10-year arc after the Godless Realms. Or FF14-2, I guess. lol)
