    Slightly Increase Crystal Tower Series Difficulty

    Okay so I'm an old-school player who remembers A Realm Reborn difficulty in the Crystal Tower series.

    I'm not asking for that level of difficulty.

    1. I am asking for interrupt-possible attacks to one-shot kill some players to give it an extra sense of challenge in LotA.

    2. I am asking for Glasya Labolas in ST to resume the platform jump adds

    3. I am asking for Angra Mainyu in WoD to have a faster flare/death spell cast so it actually hits people.

    4. I am asking for Cloud of Darkness to become invulnerable again during the adds phase so melee dps aren't skipping all of the mechanics.

    Look, people are gonna complain about Crystal Tower forever because it's required MSQ and nothing else is going to change the frequency. It should at least be fun and require more than two brain cells to finish.

    I think there should at least be some level of anxiety/fear of death in what's an otherwise piece of cake run.

    More than anything, I'm advocating for interrupt-possible death attacks so people have to be on their toes and actually learning how to interrupt. Nowhere else in the game do casual players have to learn how to stun enemies. There's plenty of players to recover an oopsie if one happens, and it gives us something to do.

    Everything in that AR series is a glorified striking dummy at this point, people might hate it less if you had more to do, its a snore fest as it stands. I often find myself nodding off during it.

    It would all be solved if they simply synced them all to Minimum Item Level. When I last did them like that, they were really fun to do. Most of the bosses in Syrcus can wipe a lot of alliances, and if not that then close to it. We already see wipes in LotA, but it once again makes people actually have to do mechanics. Doing WoD with minimum sync reminded me of how it benefited from tank swaps, because you burn through all your mits just dealing with autos and healers struggle to keep up. Oh, and that 5-headed boss in WoD had a lot of wiping mechanics, that are almost completely ignored now but you learn a lot actually having to do them.

    Minimum Ilvl wont work. It needs to be lower than that now. The potency power creep has made even minimum ilvl too high for it. Needs to be set at 60/80/100 max for the 3 different raids now. Even then we would still nuke it.

    At this point it just needs a rework but that's never happenning.

    It would be fixed if it just wasn't mandatory so new players don't get stuck trying to clear it even in its current form. No amount of forcing them into doing an alliance raid is going to make them unlock the other ones, and making it harder just turns it into a wall to get out of ARR.

    Give it a solo/NPC version so people can clear the MSQ requirement, and you can turn the actual alliance raid into a Souls-like for all I care. But so long as it remains mandatory to do the 24-man version, it should remain easy. Blame Square-Enix for writing themselves into a corner with Shadowbringers.

    move the difficulty to what it was back then... this just moving in pressing random buttons then win... is really friggen boring... dot he same thing with HW, SB, SHB, EW.

    the ilevel should not make the content easier, as it is, it also go towards that the playerskill in general is lowered.

    Do the same with: The Coils, Alex and so on and so forth, and only render any of the savage rewards possible - Synched.

    I also remember the ARR era of CT. I don't think the difficulty then was too much to ask! It was on par to what the Ivalice and Nier raids demand now.

    With the backlog of dungeons being made Duty Support compatible almost done, my hope is the crew that's been tweaking dungeons for that can instead be set to retool and redesign CT next for 8.0. (Maybe take notes from the 8-man version built for Mobile? Though I don't think they've gotten/will get WoD at this point. :/)

    My extreme wish would be to make them compatible with Main Scenario Roulette, as drastic a change in design as that would inevitably be, but any potency and mechanic retools to make a real dungeon and not the depressing zerg speed run we have now, and it won't clog a massive roulette and instead add more to the worst roulette we have.

    MINE would still be far stronger than what we actually were back then but an average DF party on MINE would at least see gassy Legolas’s platform jumps and skylla casting daybreak so I’d still see that as a big improvement

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    IMO just re-scale all ARR duties to account for the stat changes we had when they removed Accuracy and Parry in replacement for Direct Hit and Tenacity respectively.

    That at the very least...

    Then if they want to go ahead and do something like capping the item level sync, then by all means... - Though IMO if you do it for Crystal Tower, then you need to do it for all others for consistency-sake IMO.

    I don't think it needs to be more difficult that it already is, but I think it needs some mechanics to slow people rushing ahead the hell down. The one (and only, I refuse all alliance raids since then on account of that experience) time I did that, I didn't get any chance to see most of it because some people just had to run ahead like rabid bunnies on crack.
