    Removing Mount as achievement reward from Variant Dungeon is a bad development choice

    I understand for the Variant/Criterion Dungeons there was feedback that the harder difficulties didn't have much incentive to complete.

    However I cannot for the life of me imagine what discussion was had that led to "let's punish the Variant Players by removing the mount from the reward for completing all routes, and stick it in advanced". Looking up the achievement in game and seeing a sleepwear mask as the reward instead of a thematically appropriate mount.

    For the previous 3 Variant Dungeons, if I work hard and clear all 12 routes, I was rewarded with a thematically appropriate mount. For this Variant I get an eye-mask that isn't even connected to the content. It's a Facewear version of eyemasks I can craft for headslot. At the very minimum the mask in the achievement reward could've being thematically matching to the content. Why is it a facewear version of the craftable pyjamas set's headgear. Why isn't something unique to this dungeons theme, a Corvos themed mask? The sleep mask the Fire Pari boss is wearing? We clear all 12 routes and don't even get something from the Merchant's Tale as a reward. Unlike the last 3 Variant Dungeons where we got something *from the dungeon*

    While I am still going to clear all 12 routes for the lore, I am very disappointed in this...de-prioritizing of the reward for the Variant players. Casual players rewards shouldn't be lessened in order to make the reward for higher difficulty players seem more enticing.

    I understand time constraints and that this time the development team is trying something new, but it feels kind of insulting to get a already existing model of eyewear as a reward for clearing all of the Variant content. I know the developers wished to make the Advanced Mode more appealing, but surely they could have come up with a unique reward for completing it at this difficulty that didn't require "stealing" it from the Variant Dungeon.

    It makes a lot of sense actually. We'll complete all routes anyway for lore/fun, if we want, while mount collectors won't be pushed into doing slightly different busywork variations of the same thing when they could be progressing through a fight with a friend instead.

    The answer would be to create more mounts for the other versions, this way those that want the mounts will be encouraged to complete all contents. Right now they took something that worked in previous versions and added a face mask. They do this while selling mounts in cash shop.

    SE here is an advice, instead of funding DOA mobile games and silly amoung us type of games, spend that money to add more rewards to the game.

    It feels a little ironic to have players complaining about the casuals behind left in the ditch for all the expansion and have the devs take one of the casuals' usual rewards and move it behind harder content.

    They've set a precedent with the last 3 variants that completing every route gives a mount. They then abandoned that to attempt to resolve the Criterion having lackluster rewards. They then threw in the Alo weapon as well. In the progress of doing this, they have removed rewards for casual players to appease raiders, they have devalued and gutted the SOLE reason for doing Alo (Savage) all for essentially the only new rewards being a set of accessories from Advanced.

    Alo Alo (Savage) found dead in a ditch.

    No, it doesn't make a great deal of sense. Their idea is basically akin to "Let's use this to try and fix this problem (to pretend that feedback is more than an afterthought), but create an entirely different issue in the process".... Whilst subsequently trying to rationalise it around " Well they'll do it for lore anyway"

    Not even sure what the thought process was this time for this. They piss off casual players for removing the mount reward (which all three were pretty cool, imo) and giving them something pretty much worthless, piss off the people who actually liked to run Alo Savage and help others through by putting the drop for the shiny weapons here (you still have to clear the "normal" Another Alo version but still), piss off raiders for having no alternative method to get gear..

    I mean sure, they could have made an extra mount, but obviously from their perspective they can only make so many rewards overall within their "development resources". Maybe if everyone wasn't so opposed to AI, they could use it to make 1,000 mounts quickly. Just because AI does it doesn't mean it's slop; depends how they utilize said AI, but everyone will disagree with me anyway because they've hardly used AI themselves. In short, they have all the models for mounts made already; it is just the background stuff like creating/adjusting/choosing ride animations and creating the necessary files/table entries, accounting for different races riding them, and (stupid as this is) adding a saddle on it.

    From what I understand, Advanced is meant to be a casual version as well, hence being classed as Variant and not Criterion. Casual, but for the subset of casual players that actually understand how their actions and abilities work and can actually do a mechanic.
