Since we all know a nerf is coming to melded gear in some form @2.0, lets see just how crazy some of those melds out there are....

I will get the ball rolling.

This one was 9% on the last meld...

I got a 5 meld with some completely random stats from tier 1 materia that I have sitting in my bazaar for laughs. I'm at work though, so can't take a picture, and to be honest, it's not really picture worthy. :P

I just bought a ton of melded gear after holding out for the longest, I hope they don't nerf the gear in a couple months. I don't mind a revision of stats, but the gear better still be the good, might kill myself if not (jk).

That 5 meld is amazing.


P.S. Started another thread in hopes to obtain/gather any info on melded gear in 2.0. Check it out in general and add to if you have info.

Those are both jaw-dropping. Statistically that last one shouldn't even exist!

I guess there's tons of SBing on Gungnir? I haven't even seen a useful quad meld on Masamune, and triple melds using more than one IV are rare afaik.

There was some crazy 4 and 5 melds on ffxivpro.com but I believe they turned out to be fakes.

Yeah...that's crazy! I think the rich players on Masamune are sitting at 200m and I stay at about 10m myself, not due to revenues, but only because I'm very stingy.

Tbh I'm glad these double melds+ are getting nerfed. Everyone critisizes people who don't have at least one double melded piece of gear. It's just not worth it in the end. Only content that really needs it is Garuda Hard or Ifrit Extreme.
