While the platinum rank safety net doesn't make much sense and potentially just cause skill gaps in high diamond/low crystal matches, I don't think returning entirely to the feast ranking system is a good idea either. Unlike the feast, crystalline conflict does not allow a strong player to have as large of an impact, it's more reliant on your team to not be bad.

That said, if they want to keep a safety net, I think a safety net on gold is fair enough. It would still allow all the lower ranks to pop and players on the gold floor are unable to influence crystal matches, it's better for both sides than a platinum floor.
