LOL as soon as i started reading that i read it like that guy who does all the movie commercial voice parts that always start with "in a world" xD hilarious reading the whole thing like that.I know what happened !
In a world filled with instant gratification and many games launching only to be thrown away months later. A world where if your not good enough your simply discarded for the next new shiny thing gamers hope will fulfill all their desires.
Final Fantasy XIV ARR decided to be different.
Who has ever heard of a company as big as SE publicly admitting they made a mistake and holding those responsible to account for their mistakes. Then standing tall in the only way a big company can do and stating we will fix this.
This is as much a publicity stunt for SE than it is a relaunch of the game, think of the bad/mediocre FF titles in the last few years, think of the trust you once had in SE to make a good game and think of how many of us have seen that trust and faith in FF being slowly eroded.
Well my friends all the FF fans out their have finally got what they want, SE is finally using the ideas of past FFs in ARR they are finally beginning to understand the final fantasy world they inherited from Squaresoft and if they pull this off what a boost in publicity it will be for both Final fantasy and SE.
All i can say is SE/Yoshida you now have the fans attention keep pushing for the new found idealism and stick to your Ideals we cant wait to see what lies ahead !.
all true though

Congratulations!!!
well deserved

I don't think when people say "Failed" they mean Bombed. The most recent FF tittles have been really lackluster if you where to compare them to previews entries of the series, XIII lacked Open world, towns, meaningful NPC'S outside of your party, and really a decent story, FXIII-2 fixed a few of the stuff XIII lacked, but god that story was horrible :/
They did sell tho(Well XIII did)

Yeah bombing isn't the same as failing in most peoples eyes. It all comes down to personal taste, while I'm sure there are plenty who feel XIII was the best RPG they've ever played, there's clearly a great many who also feel SE and the FF series has been in decline since Squaresofts merger with Enix.

Good publicity for the game is always good, lets hope Yoshida keeps this up and pulls a lot more people in, Go Yoshida Go.
