    I'm conflicted on this...

    Weapon would be easily solvable by, for example making it be a level 1 weapon, with 770 item level, and just have it so that the attributes and secondary stats are scaled with level, just exactly with the bonus exp earrings we always get...

    But, EXP would be an issue because it would mean that players would then need to level from 1-100 and then do story and so forth... Which is an issue when you look at it from the perspective they've basically designed it this way to give players ample time to experience everything from the new expansion without being pressured to do so.. Which I think it would add pressure for those that want to experience everything in time for raids whilst having the jobs and everything ready...

    Like, you will lose all of your armory bonus very quickly... I don't think the new jobs are insurmountable.. Just spend a little time reading the job guide on their website and it will tell you everything you need to know about playing the job at a 'reasonable' level for someone doing main scenario.

    I just read the ability information, build my hotbars as best I can, then experiment with Deep Dungeon and Duty Support.

    The idea of having to delay getting that shiny new job in current content that's level 100 plus at this point is a bigger deterrent than starting 20 levels below cap and expected to learn from there.

    The issue around needing to add weapons could be circumvented by making their starting weapon a scaling item, take the Weathered Twinfangs VPR gets for example, instead of being a level 80 iLvl 515, it could instead be a level 1 scaling weapon that scales up to level 80 iLvl 515, considering someone would already be taking a penalty of losing a LOT of XP by choosing to start at level 1, making the weapon simply scale and make gearing process easier would be a fair trade.

    This could be in itself circumvented by letting the player choose to start at level 1, rather than being enforced, and make "start at cap minus 20" standard be the default setting.
