    New Player Questions ^^

Hey Should really be a sticky like this where you can ask lots of questions and search thru to learn something smart =P

Took me 20 min to get on the ferry yesterday haha xD Also learned that behest has a limit of 15 people^^

I remember having lots of questions while playing, let's see if I remember some.

Where do I level at lvl19? (Besides Solo Leve/Group Behest).
Is there any good guide for level spots? If I shouts/try to figure out recruit PT, I don't wanna make a PT and not know how to get there, or have people expecting I shall teleport and not having the gate ^^
Is there any system finding players who do repairs for you? If so what's the standard price so they don't rob my gil xD
Is the Gladiator Role in a PT same as PLD in FFXI? Use Taunt/Voke to hold hate, survive etc =P Is there any skill I should definately learn from other classes before working on it to 50? (Have leveled all the others to 10 so far)

Thank you, I know I had a lot more but now when I remembered writing a post I couldn't remember them =D

kk, since many players are busy playing i might aswell try my
best to help while im trolling around looking for trouble lol.

Where do I level at lvl19? (Besides Solo Leve/Group Behest).
◆ Depends on wich region really, but i suggest "Camp Horizon" (Thanalan), this is the rank20 camp.
if that at some point gets too low in SP gain for you, continue to the Aether Rift (not the camp Aether Crystal)
called "Nophica's Well" If you looking for solo, it all depends on your skill & Class,
but my best suggestion right now is squirrels & puks in Coerthas.

Is there any good guide for level spots? If I shouts/try to figure out recruit PT, I don't wanna make a PT and not know how to get there, or have people expecting I shall teleport and not having the gate ^^
◆ The general leveling areaa can basicly be seen when picking up Leve-quests from NPC, when you select wich
rank, thats more or less the area you need to be in.
    Example: Uldah / Thanalan Region.

    ● Camp Black Brush: rank 1-10
    ● Camp Drybone: rank 10-15
    ● Camp Horizon: rank 15-20+
    ● Nophica's Well: rank 22-30~
    ● Nanawa Mines: rank 22-30~
    ● Halatali: rank 30+ (if im not mistaken)
    ● Broken Water (aka. BW): rank 35~50
    ● Coerthas: 20-50~ (at 40+ i think you can duo/trio Piestes for awesome SP.)

    - I might be abit off on the "Best" rank for each area, but i think im pretty close. (been awhile)

Is there any system finding players who do repairs for you? If so what's the standard price so they don't rob my gil xD
◆ 2-5k / repair depending on the mats required ofc. if its low level gear 2-3k/repair, mid 3-4k, High level gear: 5-10k/repair
it's usually cloth fent / leather spetch / silver nuggets etc... so around 3-5k / synth.

Is the Gladiator Role in a PT same as PLD in FFXI? Use Taunt/Voke to hold hate, survive etc =P Is there any skill I should definately learn from other classes before working on it to 50? (Have leveled all the others to 10 so far)
◆ More or less, GLD might get some heavy competition when trying to hold hate from Pug, Archer & Mage classes.
But well great things to learn before trying to tank from what i can tell is, healing spells like cure 1-2 / sacrifice 1-2.
If playing solo as GLD im sure some Protect / Shell / stoneskin will help aswell (Cnj spells)
Pug also has second Wind wich is a TP-based healing spell wich is also great to have.

And the last one means that you have hit the maximum cap to gain "Maximum SP/EXP", its sort of an Fatigue system to keep you from Leveling to fast. It will however slowly decrease & at some
point let you gain full amount of SP/EXP again.

But if you change class this effect will not carry over from that class to another. But you can still hit "Fatigue" with the new class aswell. (around 80k SP/EXP per Class before you hit fatigue.)

It dosent decrease the sp/exp gain much so you can level through it,
nothing major to worry about really.
(when you hit fatigue you just start gain less sp/exp for each kill / synth you do)

Anywayz, hope some of this was helpful.

    - Goodluck ! ^.^)b

    Thank you!

I'll try those things out, and explore some more Ill keep adding questions here and if anyone wants to answer or post their own that would be great =P

GLD might get some heavy competition when trying to hold hate from Pug, Archer & Mage classes.
Is this because their dmg output generate too much hate, or is there another class used as a valid tank? If not, then they just have to work with the tank to not pull hate?=P

And the last one means that you have hit the maximum cap to gain "Maximum SP/EXP", its sort of an Fatigue system to keep you from Leveling to fast. It will however slowly decrease & at some
Oh, that was disappointing, I thought it was the opposite, some kind of "bonus" added hence the way they announce it =P Hehe

And the level spots, did you mean for solo grind or to use a 6-man PT to grind mobs around those gates/Do leve quests?^^

    Thanks again

The hate problem is more or less something still work in progress.
With the current system wich requires "Stamina" for each class to
perform actions hate becomes a major poblem to keep a firm grip on.

Sometimes Provoke for the GLD just isnt enough, the pugilist has a hate control
ability aswell (wich GLD must learn) as an option, then theres one for Shield too.

Some crazy mages like to spam all kinds of spells & thus generates immense hate within seconds.
Same for archers wich is one of the game heaviest DD's.

The "Fatigue" systems is well bad / good depending on you look at it.
You can still gain decent amount of SP during this effect.
If you hit fatigue it's best to change class or get a leve party & share leve at
the Start location to increase the amoun of bonus & also use the "Guardian" boon for some extra % bonus aswell.

Well the level spots contains both soloble & party mobs, it all depends
on how well you play your class & wich class you solo with.

I dont think there's a better thing than "Trial and Error" to learn the mobs
skills & what they do after a certain amount of hits. (it's more or less the same all the time)
As conjurer / Thaumaturge, the "Sleep" spell is your best friend. (it has many uses if it sticks)

I just started playing i'm a Rank 12 pugilist and I tried doing some rank 10+ leve and behest stuff at the 2nd teir camp in the forrest area (Camp emerald something??) sorry i'm horrible with remembering names.. Anyway almost everything is conning red (tough)? and i cant seem to finish any of the quests solo, and since i cant find any english speaking players (i'm on selbina) i have no choice but to solo everything. Am i supposed to just stay in the 1st area and get less then 100 skill points till i'm like level 20 or something? or am i just doing something wrong? thanks

That's odd. If you set it to 1 star the mobs for leves in Emerald Moss definitely shouldn't be conning red.

Since Gridania is pretty empty, my advice to level faster would be to immediately start following the road south from Gridania. It's safe, aggressive mobs a rarely located near the main road. Be sure to watch your map and check-in at each camp you pass so you can tele to them later. Eventually you'll reach the desert-like Thanalan and will start heading west and south. Make note of when you pass Camp Drybone, as that's where you'll be gaining levels until the high teens. Keep checking your map and following the road and you'll make it to Ul'dah.

Start doing Dryone leves and, when you get them, Horizon leves. Until you're close to R20 it may be hard to solo the Horizon ones. When possible, join behest and try to form parties to do leves. If you get lost or stuck, politely shout in Ul'dah for help. If you're really having trouble fighting, you probably need to upgrade your gear. Check ffxiv.yg.com and see what equipment there is close to your rank. See if you can buy it from the wards, otherwise shout and someone will probably make it for you. Long-term your best bet is to find a good LS that will help you get your gear and do leves with you for SP. Shouting might work for this last issue too, just don't spam the shout channel.
