Suggestion: More body type variety for male Midlanders

Why can’t male Midlanders have two body type options, where the second one is more like this?
I can’t run around in the Omega-M onesuit all the time just to have a body type that actually matches the face. :'(

For clarity, here is a visual comparison.
The current male Midlander body appears bulky even in minimal gear, while the same character only achieves a more elegant silhouette when constrained by very specific glamours.
A 2nd slimmer body type option would allow elegant glamours to look natural, not forced.



And yes, I know that a body type similar to Omega-M wouldn’t look truly “natural” in reality.
But FFXIV is a fantasy game, and we all want our characters to look good in different glamours and overall, don’t we? :3

I don't see what you're seeing, it looks to me like the Omega-M bodysuit on your Midlander IS the current Midlander body with a bit of flair around the neck and shoulders. It's just a skin-tight catsuit. Obviously, putting something that is not skin-tight on a body will...not look skin-tight.

So...it's just that there's something about the Omega-M suit that tricks your eye into thinking the model is thinner. It's not. It's the same model.

And I agree with others, Midlander males are already pretty damned thin for men. Any thinner (and a bit ganglier) they'd look like barely pubescent teenagers. I've always assumed this is because, as a rule, Japanese men are smaller and thinner than European and African men so I'm just not used to it (Highlander men look more like what a normal, adult man should look like to me).

As an adult man... I wish! Personally, I'd say they're not "normal" or average, but fairly idealized. If that's what you and your friends look like, and that is "normal" to you - congrats

Haha, well, yeah, definitely idealized (all of the FFXIV races are, and I am glad of it!!), but most men I know are pretty tall and muscular, square-jawed and heavy-browed in an everyday blue-collar/military sort of way, so yeah, between the two, Highlanders are closer to what I'm used to seeing in my day-to-day life.

I would love to be about that much thicker on my Midlander and Miqo'te ladies.

This is the level of waist and hip scaling I keep asking for but most players are entirely too traumatized by modbeasts to even imagine it.

Sure, more options for curvier female body types are fine too. More variety is always a good thing.

They really should add a third Hyur sub-race, something more elegant, with a body type somewhere between male Elezen and Viera, and a more handsome overall look. That way, we could make characters more like Themis or Hythlodaeus.

Yes, please! That would be great.
I’d also love to have a wider range of size options, because I enjoy playing both taller and smaller characters, and Viera and Elezen are already on the taller side.
