Oizys Missions .. did they even bother to think?

So I'm working on my first of the many Cosmic tools, specifically the Alchemist one, and something that has become abundantly and horribly apparent to me >> SE in all their wisdom decided to only have ONE Class A mission (excluding EX missions) that gives research for the 'V' category.

This means, of course category V is insanely behind the rest if you just complete A-class missions sequentially. What are our options you might ask to try and mitigate this?

- Abandon and re-start over and over until the right mission shows up, but of course that wastes the Gold-Star bonus which is actually valuable given the new state of the content
- Do B-Class missions which is exactly the same issue as above
- Leave and go back to Phaenna ... O.o

OR, just repeat doing A-class missions that offer the wrong research just to maintain Gold status while waiting and praying for the right one to appear. This is honestly infurating, and pathetic to an extent. It is what it is at this point, I hardly expect them to do anything about it now, so all I'm doing is ranting at how little thought went into this ... like so many other things lately

I also had that little struggle, but it's not too bad, the missions takes 1-2 minutes to do so just do another random one so the V one would pop...

My only main complain is... 3 steps this time? We went from 9 to 5 to 3? Next one will be what, one step ? (And by 3 step, it's barely that because I was already capped before the release, so it's more just 2 steps)

I could agree that it's not the more interesting things to do, but as someone who farmed the mount in Ishgard restoration, that steps just feels like "ok let's begin that farm.. oh wait, it's already done for that tool... ?!" And it get faster the more you get. 5 step felt like a reasonable amount on Pheaba, I'm not sure why they keep doing this on any content....

The way they've done these is that you can farm the categories by doing the lower level missions. e.g., if you need V, then you do Class-B, if you need IV then you can do Class C, and then class D if you need either I-III.

I suppose they've done this to try and encourage people to actually farm a wider range of the missions, as opposed to just a very small handful of missions.

Granted, but it goes against the gold chains system, since it is only available for rank A and provision missions. And even a successful mission below them would break the chain, so it seems to contradict their intention of encouraging players to pick a wide range of missions.

for Miner I straight up grinded out 5 research with an EX+ mission. it's a bit ridiculous.

To be honest the real dataset issue on my end this tier is the datasets VI, you start at 0 like all new ones, but it requires so much of it (more than the other ones before that came more incrementally) that I keep overcapping like crazy on the 5 other ones. It feels like a lot of wasted datasets.
