Can we have "Beast Tribes" back

Beast Tribes was perfectly honorable name to call them with.

Euphemism treadmill happening in fantasy game is weird thing to observe, when it's actually real world seeping into Eorzea.

Allied Societies is ugly language. Please make them Beast Tribes again.

It wasn't dropped due to being a possible in-universe slur as more just being completely redundant in EW with the likes of the Omicronions who are of course robots, and the Arkskadora who are basically just another race of humanoid people (at least they're considered that way in Thavnair), to use just two examples.

So 'beast tribe' was no longer relevant at all, and another term needed to be used. (And if we're really going to be pendantic, the very term 'beast tribe' was a legacy of FFXI where the term 'beastman' came from, and there the beast tribes were certainly not friendly, save for the odd goblin or qiqirn here or there).

I just wish the English localizers would have picked something that rolled off the tongue better.

"Beast Tribes". Two syllables, succinct.
"Allied Societies". Six syllables, trying too hard.

I'd be more accepting of the change if they just called them "communities" or something.

Beast Tribes wouldn't really fit them anymore... But I do think they should have just kept them as Tribes.

I always had felt it was an offensive thing to call them, given how smart they come across when we get to know them. But that was always the story - that they were dismissed as beasts by people.

It did start to get odd when dwarfs were beasts but I'm alright with that, because they're lalafells and it was fun that they were categorized as being lesser.

I think it made sense to change it to tribal since not all of them are beast-like, but society fits better. I just missed the part where they announced changing it to society, because it seemed a much more subtle change than when they announced them being tribal quests.

Can see the reasoning but it sounds and looks absolutely stilted as a feature name, no doubt. I can see why it rubs people the wrong way.

Culture Quests? Kindred Quests? Diplomatic Delves? There has to be something that feels better to say, surely? XD
