Please buff AST, please buff AST. Why is WHM stronger than AST? It's not fair.
Also nerf shield healers

Dear devs, please nerf scissors. Rock is well balanced.
Signed, paper.

Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power

the job that nearly every top 10 W1st race teams have been using for the entire expansion needs a buff, yeah right
shield healers have also had significantly worse numbers than either regen healer

To be fair shield healers have an expectation of some form of responsibility baked into them
Regen healers just do whatever they want so the WHM>SCH>SGE>AST play rate isn’t surprising
It’s not like SCH needs another buff
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Oh this is about the play rate, now how strong or weak the jobs actually are?
Well then is easy, Yoshi P, please make it so that WHMs fail to log in ~50% of the time until they switch jobs. Done!
(this is sarcasm, if it wasn't obvious)
I dunno, what if it's a literal buff? Swollene as a new fairy? Just a max height max muscle male Roe in a fairy outfit?

The main reason I choose WHM over the other healers is if I want to just play a job that has a sizeable and noticeable burst without relying on a third party software to see the big numbers. The instant Afflatus Misery feels really nice and gets the dopamine going (SGE sadly doesn't give the same feeling at all). The straightforwardness of WHM is sometimes nice too when I get tired of SCH/SGE/AST gameplay. Not needing to micromanage heals is sometimes refreshing, but that's probably because I micromanage my hp bar/healing all the time in PvP so that's probably why I just default to WHM these days for a different change of pace.
Maybe that's part of the reason why other people default to WHM too, it's just very straightforward to play after a long day and they just want to do content with something that doesn't require too much micromanagement.
I'll take it, give me 100. Bonus points if the Seraph form is also affected by max height max muscle male Roe transformation and spooks someone.
So the game should only be balanced for the top 10 players? That's ridiculous. It should be balanced for everyone!

WHM was falling behind AST in both LHW and CW, and while it does do well in FRU, due to how much lilies can take advantage of downtime, PCT still made AST the more preferred pick back when it was new. I think this is the closest they've been this expac.
AST's personal damage is bad because a lot of its output depends largely on the party due to its buff-focused design, which statics can make the most out of by gathering raid gear to their strongest burster on top of just having better coordination to align buffs than pugs normally could do.
Heavyweight is also pretty unfriendly for melee uptime (which really should be happening as often if they insist on the phys range tax), and I'd expect AST's numbers to do better as players gear up more and get more used to the fights.

Yeah, which is why AST is so strong and so flexible. It's so that everyone can easily heal through most situations given the plethora at skills available, while being more lenient towards gaps in personal nuke uptime due to the higher percentage of damage coming from buffs (which are oGCD).
Again, everyone else loves ASTs in their groups, seems to be just you that somehow does worse than everyone else does with the job.
