Mentor Status Requirements need to change

Mentor system is a joke because people farm 1500 coms very easily with spams of guildheist and emote spam / beg in roulette. Novice chat also deserves to be changed to global chat because that's the only purpose of novice chat right now since this game lacks a proper global chat.

Mentors usually don't even help with questions but rather force a sprout or someone new to find answers themselves. Most mentors wouldn't even help someone unsync content for story but rather brag 30 minutes about "why you should wait 3 hours in queue" and sit in limsa afk. Ask for any help or queuing people in nn and you get lashed out by mentors for "we aren't your mates to help you, don't abuse this chat". But when it's talk about ERP and sex jokes, then it's free to talk about that.

Mentor roulette is also made for one purpose -> to fill spots where they are needed. That's it. That simple. It was never about "mentors helping to clear content", nah it was just a purpose to fill toxic and most obnoxious trials so you can act as a filler since nobody wants to do them. A complete joke system. Trade mentor is even easier.

Why are there so many people in this thread who actually have the NN enabled? I've been running around with the burger king crown for ages and the first thing I did was turn the NN channel off.

They are never really going to solve this problem, because there is a massive dissonance between what the some players think a mentor should be able to do, and what the developers expect the mentor system to achieve, and the point at which point a player ceases to be a mentor and realistically starts asking questions that will have even the more competent players just playing the receptionist game of pointing people to external resources, e.g., job guides, encounter guides etc.,

whole mentor system feels pointless. Everyone I know, just does it for the mount and icon. They should remove the mount and change the icon into something less desirable.
You don't need a special badge to help people, or give advice to sprouts.

I have 2000/2000 roulettes done, and I admit I too only did it so I could have a long term goal.
