FFXIV Launcher stuck on gray logo screen

Good afternoon!

As of yesterday around 8pm, I opened my launcher and it would not go past the gray "Final Fantasy XIV Online" logo.

Things I have done to try and resolve the issue:
Restart my computer, run as administrator, uninstall and reinstall the launcher, use the launcher directly in the "boot" folder instead of using a shortcut (both normally and also as an administrator), cleared the "My Games > Final Fantasy XIV - A Real Reborn" folder, updated/"repaired" Microsoft Edge, downloaded and attempted to use the launcher through Steam instead of the desktop app, used the Control Panel to stop other programs running simultaneously, changed the "BootVersionCheckMode" value in the "FFXIV_BOOT" CFG file from 0 to 1, then set it back to 0. I've also checked my internet settings and my download speed is 477 Mbps, upload 8 Mbps with a ping of 8-99ms, so I don't think it's that.

I read in a previous forum post that restoring an older version of the launcher might work, but I'm unsure how to do that.

How do you connect to internet? Try via LAN instead of PLC or WiFi. A bit of 99ms is not fine and should be lower.

If the launcher can not connect to the Login Server, it's getting stucked on the grey logo. It seems more a network issue here.

Have a same problem, but with PS5 version, also since January 18. The strange thing is that the game runs with no problem on PC using the same connection (via Ethernet). No problem on PC with any game, no problems on PS5 with other online games, and only FFXIV on PS5 stuck on gray logo screen.
I even tried to contact with our ISP and they said there were no problems on their side, so I guess, the reason is in the game?

I've had the same issue since today (20th of January), all versions of the launcher on PC. It tries to launch, then I get a grey box with "Loading.... Please restart the launcher." and eventually I get an error popup. Everything else on the PC and online works.

Also a few people I know can’t login. I even had to use vpn to login here. But vpn doesn’t seem to help with the launcher

I heard it is an issue with people especially in germany who have Telekom as their ISP. Apparently some websites don't work, especially SE login services.
I don't know if your ISP is also Telekom.

The problem is that I don't know who can FIX this problem. Should I report this problem to SE or should I report it to Telekom?

Either way the general problem seems to be between Telekom and SE or also Telekom and Cloudflare websites.
