Wait till 2.0 and see for yourself
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
I believe you've raised an interesting topic ~
I hope readers can look past the 'Rokien' brand and think about this seriously. I do ponder about levelling up in 2.0.
Personally, I'd love it to be slower, too.

They wont, but whatevs~
well as jyxn said if you are efficent it will probably take 10, even than that's a pretty good pace. If they make those 30+ hours fun, BRING IT!

I have a theory on this.
For new players, their first 50 is going to be speedy due to being propelled by quests and all that stuff. And that's fine, the game's more fun when you have at least 1 level 50.
However, their next and subsequent 50s are going to require more time due to a lot of repeated dungeon grinding. Yes it'll still be grinding. For some people, they won't bother.
There will be less people with every job leveled.
This forces careful class choosing among the new playerbase. This promotes class identity and emotional connection to a player's avatar. In addition, it makes characters unique. Less jobblobs, to coin a term.
Yes, that could be true, but I think he was talking about the first job/class. It also seems like those 30 hours is mostly going to be doing the main storyline, which if it's good, I wouldn't mind that. You could be right though. He does want people 50 but that just seems that's his mentality for V1.xI have a theory on this.

Based on the quote in your first post it looks like they intend the dungeons TO BE the party play.
“level 15 as an ideal level for setting up a party and trying out a dungeon"

I've never approved of an MMO build where the whole point was to rush to endgame. At that point, you may as well skip all the between levels and make there only be 'endgame' content and no grinding necessary. Its called ENDgame for a reason. Where's the game itself?? With the length they imply it will take to reach cap now, I'm hoping it will also mean that there will be plenty to do and enjoy at all levels.

Best Rokien thread that I've been to!![]()
