You might as well add an official DPS log to the game...

Even without the official one, enough people:
    1. Use fflogs \ Tomestone plugins
    2. Your data is uploaded from THIER add-on without you even knowing
    3. You join a PF, and are quickly removed without a word at all after they look you up with those tools.

You CAN remove yourself from both sites tracking via lodestone profile comments, but that shouldn't even be necessary. Also removing them will hide your profile, which again many snobbish people will just consider the same as showing an unfavorable parse.

    1. Irrelevant. The current way, you can choose to ignore all of that like I do.

    2. Also irrelevant. It can make you feel concerned, but it is just in your own mind ultimately. It could be used for stalking, but I believe they now respect the lodestone privacy setting.

    3. I've never been removed for the reasons you described. But I am a good judge of party leader and don't join parties that are like that.

    1. transparency is good
    2. you knew that prior to joining.
    3. byproduct of people worried that if they actually tried to explain themselves, they'd get reported for being "toxic." it's unironically safer to say nothing and just kick.

no one is entitled to a spot in someone else's pf.

Square Enix really should SUE FFlogs and tomestone, and shut them down, because that is infuriating (I was too removed from a group). The other day I was trying to join a FRU party and they immediately questioned me, because I hadn't hit THEIR prog point. Pfft, like, how hard can going from p2 to p4 really be? I'm a quick learner, just give me a chance. They then proceeded to rudely remove me after going "ermm, no."

you aren't entitled to a spot in a strangers group though? sure you can disagree with why you were removed but it's their pf no? not a fan, make your own starting at your prog point? i don't get the issue.

FFLogs and Tomestone/passport is a symptom of a bigger problem, players that constantly lying about their prog points and seemingly incapable of pressing their abilities. Almost like if you don't lie and know your job, then you have nothing to worry about.

A lot of Final Fantasy games have ratings after you battle. For example FFXIII has the in game battle star system. Why couldn't they add something like this to Final Fantasy XIV? It wouldn't have to be like 455.6 DPS it could be: you got 4/5 stars on that fight. And it would just be your own personal battle ranking, you wouldn't see anyone else. I think that would be a good middle ground.

No thanks, the game doesn't really need MORE toxicity being pumped into it.

It still baffles me that Square-Enix went after Mare citing "it makes the community exclusionary towards each other while being very public about it" and yet ACT has done far more damage in making people avoid playing with each other/causing harassment and has multiple publicly accessible websites shouting as loud as possible about the existence of said mod. It's just so half-assed and hypocritical.
