It's about time the Scions get a wardrobe change. What do you think they should be?

I know the subject can and probably will get a lot of joke answers, but this is meant to be an open ended discussion for the Scions' MSQ outfits and if they're due for a change.

To me, it's been long enough since 5.0/6.0, and the cast could use a refresh.

I do understand the logistics of designing new models taking up resources and changes affecting merchandise, but this is meant to be for fun.

In my opinion, 6.0 Alphinaud, Estinien, and G'raha are genuinely perfect. You cannot improve on those looks. So I hope if they get any changes, they feel similar to what they've had before.

Krile's updated in 7.0 so I don't mind her staying the same. It's recent and still fresh to me! It's genuinely adorable and I envy it a lot.

But Thancred? Yeah I think he's worn that white coat out and could use a better outfit in 8.0. He's a wanderer again, and I feel like they should tip him slightly back in the direction he had in 3.0. Slightly rugged, road-weary. It suits him better!

Y'shtola still slays, but come on, she hasn't been with the Night's Blessed for a while now. She could get a new goth/victorian dress to fit in with her likely future shenanigans in the Thirteenth. Her torn dress is starting to feel outdated.

Alisaie... I like her 6.0 design in theory, but something about it puts me off. Not sure what it is. I just hope they give her pants next time.

What would you like to see in the future for the cast to wear? Joke answers are welcome but I'd rather promote discussion.

It needs to fit in with the current direction of the game, so it's sci fi leisure wear and sport shoes for all of them.
And I want the upgrade to be a quest with 52 steps and 7 non-skipable cut scenes where we watch the Scions eat a lot of different stuff while they wait for Tataru to finish their new garments. Oh, and 2 scenes where the screen just turns black and we listen to munching noises for 2 minutes or more.

The only real problem is a lack of any sense of the passage of time. The Shadowlands wardrobe changed helped, but even after literally dying and coming back to life (multiple times for some of them), the cast seems to show very little room for... maturing into their roles?

The main problem I had was their Shadowbringers looks being perfectly recreated by a person that had not seen them, and then they continued wearing them ever since.

They could in general use more outfits. Our WoL can have up to twenty of them (and I make deliberate use of it too), there's no reason the Scions have to wear the same gear when they're strolling through a city, participating in a festival, enjoying the beach and so on, as they do when they're out in the field.

Also, different outfits for different environments - hot deserts vs. frozen mountains being just the most obvious example.

They did get cold-weather outfits for snowy Garlemald at least (all built from player-accessible gear), and apparently getting all the trusts up to max level gives them summer outfits? Certainly it would be nice to see more of that, though if they vary too much then I guess it becomes difficult to define one look as their marketable one.

Imagine if you get their trusts to max and next expansion you can glamour them during a story.

They need retiring, not a wardrobe change. They've been part of the main cast for ten years and aside from Krile, have had no story to tell or anything worthwhile to add to the plot for over four. As things are now, they actively strangle the storytelling in any scene they're in.
