    Why you not whine about to killl certain mob to pop one chest?
    Why you not whine about why need open all chest to make one chest pop?
    Why you not whine about you need deactivate all the gate for chest pop?
    Why you don't want above go away but Speed Run?
    Why you not just admit you want speed run go away because the problem you cant do it?

    To be clear, Speed Run is nothing to do with drop rate. People want clear stuff faster and faster, JP already use 6 drg to kill Princess within 45 second even 17 or 25 mins easily achieve by blm.

    1st I'm not against speed runs, and second that last statement is full of shit, sure people want to get things done faster but the 5th chest pop is what is making people require certain jobs.

    You're right, but it has everything to do with getting all the chests to pop, which in turn affects drop rate. Guess what your drop rate is on HDL without a speedrun? it's 0%

    I was fairly anti-speed run until I actually did one.
    It felt like (for our group) the culmination of all the work that had gone into being able to do Aurum Vale without thinking. We run with Teamspeak on anyway, but it was barely required for the run. Just the odd "you're a bit too close to Coincounter", etc, BLMs warning they don't want a cure because they're using Burst after Convert, things like that.

    I wouldn't like to see them removed from ARR, though tying loot tables to time left on the clock is pretty shabby. A hard mode or route through the dungeon seems like a better implementation to me. Better yet, steady token rewards so people can buy their shineys.

    I enjoyed speed runs but I'm not sad to see them go. I'll still be able to have my fun and push myself to optimal speeds in the new dungeons Yoshi has planned. In particular, I'm most excited to see what is in store for us mainly because it will be fresh and different. I hope these dungeons/raids are truly an original experience.

    I am happy that they are removing the necessity to do a speed run. They should not be mandatory or the only way to achieve a goal.

    Of course everyone should be allowed to do a speed run if they wish, for their own enjoyment, time saving, or personal challenge (can we do it quicker?! YES we can!). But it should not be a requirement to achieve a reward.

    For me this is good, and makes the game more accessible and fun (we get both options, slow or fast, to succeed!)

    What I don't like about speed runs is that the minute someone messes up the whole run becomes a waste of time. I'm happy that this "feature" is getting the boot! ^o^

    EXACTLY ! where is the enjoyment of being a prick about 10 seconds slower on a kill? And again, where is the skill in memorizing a fight and oping your gear? how bout achivements for beating dungeons with gimped gear ? being at a disadvantage and getting the win seems like it would take more skill then spaming the same thing 100 times with the same 8 players in triple melded gear. Nothing wrong with being efficient, but to say that it takes skill to do so is a stretch.
