FREE CHEERS FOR A WISE DECISION!!!
I've seen a few specific individuals on Gungnir try to defend the way they have it set up, but they can never really raise any legitimate argument as to why it's so great. Ultimately it's never anything more than "look at my epeen/I don't want others to have darklight".
It's funny because it's true!

Ah thank goodness o.o
The time limit is one of the few features I actively despise.. it's all well and good rewarding a speed run, sure, but making it necessary... and where on earth is the logic behind actually punishing players that want to stop, explore the locations, or even follow the local narrative and watch cutscenes?

hm well on the other hand it'd be fun if we have 1-2 instances which speed runs for a special challenge.
i mean skyrmish for example could stay as a speed run, if they keep skyrmish in the game.

Good bye speed runs. Don't let the spare pair of moogle fists I have attached to the door hit you on the way out.
...Oh wait DO let them hit you.
I like speedruns :c

I remember reading in an interview that speed runs are only being removed for loot drops. Achievements will still be in place for them though, so Relic weapons will still likely require the same process.
I'm at work and cannot look up which interview it is. I'll look when I get home.

Speed runs don't feel rushed once you've done it 100 times. It becomes the new standard and you don't really know how to do it any other way after that.
I agree that they "encourage" class stacking, but that's not a byproduct of speed runs. It's an issue inherent to the class system and combat design.
I for one will miss the speed runs, and not because they lessen fear availibilty (couldn't care less about that), but because I've always enjoyed time trials, and the synergy they require within the group.
Exactly!! All speed runs did was add some form of challenge to content and give people something else to work towards. 90% of the people who whined about speeds just whined cause they weren't good enough to to do them or in an ls that wasn't good enough to do them. Flame away but it's true.Speed runs don't feel rushed once you've done it 100 times. It becomes the new standard and you don't really know how to do it any other way after that.
