gave you a like , bc it made me chuckle.

heh
Speed runs do require skill. Skill as in knowing how to play your class, knowing when to stop and when to go, knowing how to listen, knowing how to give instructions, knowing how to lead, knowing how to follow, etc. Do some of you guys think (those of you that believe speed runs do not require any sort of skill sets) that the list I just mentioned in this post is inherent and happens out of the blue - that it is not learned or practiced? If you think that is the case, you have issues.
The definition of Skill: The ability to do something well; expertise. A particular ability.
What I listed above are abilities. With that being said, I still stand by the fact that I am glad that they are only having Speed Runs as an achievement and not something to increase the chances of loot dropping. Yes yes, you guys say it just allows the 5th chest to drop but a 5th chest dropping increases the chance of loot dropping, right? Right.

Also true. We'll settle this by having the first dungeon of 2.0 completed in a Speed Run, first attempt. Anything afterward doesn't count, because this isn't about learning, it's about raw skill...something the dirty peasants know nothing about.
Now, if you'll excuse me...I have to go stock up on this stuff!

Skill and practice kind of go hand and hand also the skillful complete way more speed runs than the unskillfulAlso true. Speed runs completion is the sum of skill and repetition, you're both right.
A skilled group of player might take 10 runs to learn all the mechanics, find solutions and achieve the performance to succeed a speed run.
An less skilled group of players will achieve the same, though it might take 20 runs instead of 10, and they may have to go read some guides instead of finding solutions themselves.
I just quoted that because it made you sound ignorant saying people with a life can't complete a speed run and incenuating that those who can don't have one.
There is skill to be had in Speed runs. Knowing what does what and how to do something effective is skill. A skillful person is skillful because he finds the most convenient way to do something and does it. Why would you do it any other way? Also, I'm not even talking about Party set-up wise when I say that, but why kill every single mob if you only need to kill 6? If anything, legitimate "skilled" players should be able to speed run it easily if they are indeed skilled. And if you say "Well, it requires a certain set-up!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVlLSzCff_o
Surely, as skilled as all the people who say it takes no skill to do a speed run are, you should be able to research and trial and error your way into a speed run. That being said, I don't like Speed runs being a requirement for a chest, I do think that a speed run should give some sort of bonus to new dungeons. Timer for re-entry taken away if you beat it with a certain time? True skill should be recognized and rewarded; But not everyone can be as skilled as people with "no life" and then some people want to actually explore the dungeon and kill every mob. Maybe there should be rewards for going either way. Each chests drop every piece of gear. However, if you unlock a speed run chest you have another chance at getting all of that gear. Same for all treasure chests one, more chance. Make a chests where you have to kill every mob in a dungeon? That way the skilled get more chances for gear and the casual players get their chance for gear for the effort they put into it and there is a bonus for taking your time and killing every single mob which the "unskilled" speed runners will not get if they do it the way they have been.
