Feedback about the 96 hour free time campaign.

I’m writing to provide feedback regarding the recent 96-hour free login campaign.

The campaign messaging strongly implies that players receive a true 96 hours of playtime from the moment they log in. However, in practice, the system appears to be based on calendar days that reset at midnight, which can significantly reduce the actual time granted. In my case, logging in late at night resulted in losing nearly a full day of the advertised playtime, with no prior notice. I logged in Jan 9 11pm and my time ran out on Jan 13 2:40am. Losing around 20 hours of game time.

Additionally, there is no in-game message warning or countdown message to inform players that their remaining time is about to expire. Being abruptly disconnected without any notification is frustrating and gives no opportunity to wrap up gameplay properly.

There is also no clear communication explaining that time resets at midnight rather than being tracked as a rolling 96-hour window. This lack of transparency can easily lead to confusion and disappointment for returning players.

For a campaign intended to encourage players to come back and re-engage with the game, these issues can feel discouraging and may negatively impact a player’s desire to continue playing or purchase subscription time.

Free Login Period
Four days including the day on which users first log into the launcher. This period ends on the fourth day at 23:59 (GMT).

* Please note that this campaign is based on the GMT time zone. The campaign passes automatically to the next day at 0:00 (GMT) / 11:00 (AEDT).

Most people will login in the evening in Europe, so yeah, they gonna lose a whole day probably. Experienced it myself once. Maybe they should just make it a week.

I see, so then I understand that the information exists on the website, but as a console-only player in the US without a PC, there’s no reasonable way I would ever see that. The in-game news and PlayStation news feed are where this information should be surfaced. If a campaign also targets console players, the rules should be clearly communicated on the platform itself, or at least in-game. Otherwise, it’s very easy for players to be misled without realizing it. A small message in-game while playing letting you know you only have 30 minutes left of your free game time remaining would do wonders as well to help you wrap things up. This has been a learning experience, thanks for your reply, I hope they see this and take some feedback for future players to help avoid this situation from happening constantly/again.

if you resub as a example it often goes by a timer i still dont know the exact time it counts down but it doesnt count down when you first resub it counts down from a timer thats in the system so example if you sub at
2pm est
it doesnt end at 2pm est next month
it likely ends the prior day

lol yea I’ve noticed the way their game time works is a little off. I’ve talked to friends about it and they said they should implement it as a rolling timer so you’re getting your true amount of time, payed or free. In this case, a true 96 hours. I don’t know how they would do that but it would be appreciated and help feel like you’re not getting screwed out of time. Especially when it’s limited. I’m just a casual in my friend group and take frequent breaks in-between expansions. So with 2 of the others always playing they tell me when there is free time and I try to make the most of it when it comes around but feel frustrated when something like this happens. As I had plans to make more progress with certain things in game during my limited time. Thus expecting the full time mentioned and feel like I’m getting robbed of what was advertised when I don’t get that. Either way, this has been a learning experience, I know now until or unless things change, I need to first login after midnight has already passed so it counts the next day as first instead.
