I was recently doing some research on XIV enmity mechanics and ran into some very outdated info on the UI guide: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/uigui.../hud-name.html.

While most of the enmity section is out of date the "How should each role manage enmity?" section is particularly bad with the following lines:
  • DPS should focus on the tank's target, making use of actions that reduce enmity as necessary.
  • Healers must maintain the HP of party members, but try not to heal more than necessary. When using several powerful healing actions in quick succession, it is advisable to also use abilities that reduce enmity.

DPS and healers no longer have enmity reducing actions so this information should probably be changed.
