Feedback: Redmage 7.4 - Acceleration Proc

    Hello folks,

i noticed after a few iterations of "Acceleration" it does proc "Impact" and "Verthunder III" and "Veraero III".

In the interface however only "Grand Impact" is flashing up.

If not read carefully some players might overlook the "Additional Effect: Ensures Verthunder III and Veraero III trigger Verfire Ready or Verstone Ready respectively"
and only sees"Grand Impact" als proc of this and miss that they should press one of the Verstone/Verthunder too.

Maybe a change would be good, especially for newer RDM players?

    What do you think?

It's really fine, that's just part of learning a job. Players who want to perform well will put effort into understanding the job or looking up a guide, of which there are always many. Players who don't, don't really care about this to begin with.

Think most players would realize this if they properly leveled the job from 50. If anyone bought a skip or leveled it without really using it I honestly can't show much sympathy.

I don't see anything wrong with making this a little more clear/apparent. While it's true that you can't force people to learn who don't want to learn, FF14 could certainly do more to make the learning process easier for those who do want to learn.

Yeah definitely. I think maybe the combo-ants are a bit overused, but maybe they could split things into two types of highlights instead.

One that says "This ability is now enhanced" vs one that says "This ability is now available" or so. Because in fact Acceleration would then do both, it would make Grand Impact available while enhancing Verthunder and Veraero.

    There are dummies everywhere.
Usually I'd agree but the rotations are so simple and self explanatory that the only thing we need is taking a few minutes on the dummy to practice a little.
Many other popular MMOs with much harder and faster rotations aren't as kind to the point of highlighting which button should you press next.

Though, I know people that have a hard time memorizing rotations. In one case, it wasn't the rotation itself but a very messed hotbar.
This game is very easy if you organize your hotbar, but to someone who lets the game do that for them, it's a nightmare.

When RDM is unlocked at lvl 50, or even when its lvl boosted to 90, Acceleration only affects veraero and verthunder. So, to me, its unlikely that a player that is actually reading the buttons of the job they just picked up would assume Acceleration is only tied to Grand Impact. Since the trait adding Grand Impact is only introduced at lvl 96, people that unlock the job normally will have 45 levels to learn the base effect of Acceleration and even job boosters will have 5 levels.

As someone who picked up RDM back in ShB and started maining it in EW, I always just considered Acceleration to be a Verthunder/Veraero specific Swiftcast with the added benefit of guaranteeing a proc.

Part of why Grand Impact gets a highlight is because it replaced Jolt III and Impact, Verthunder and Veraero are always present. If enabling Grand Impact was its initial function and it only gained the instant buffed veaero/verthunder, I'd understand the need more.
