Cactuar Has Been Congested For Almost A Year

Last year, I made friends who happen to play on Cactuar. I'd like to use the "World Transfer" system to permanently move my character over from Famfrit, but haven't been able to. When I found out it's because Cactuar is "congested", I was a bit confused because I've been able to visit from Famfrit basically any time I want with minimal effort. I'm not 100% sure, but if I tallied it up, I probably spent as much time in Cactuar as I did in Famfrit in 2025 (if not more).

But if I want to permanently transfer my character to that world (so I can be involved in an FC there, use my retainers, etc.), I have to wait for some arbitrary flag to be lifted.

Why it hasn't opened up at all in almost the last year? Last I checked, the only period in all of 2025 that Cactuar hasn't been congested was a short window at the beginning of the year (from something like January 20th until March 22nd).

I don't suppose there's a way to "claim citizenship" if I've just been there enough anyway, is there?

It’s because square doesn’t want you on aether, aether and mana have such a ridiculous concentration of their respective data centre’s player bases they are trying to forcibly equalise the servers by blocking people from aether for so long that if you are on aether and want to be on the same server as your friends you leave aether rather than wait for them to be able to join aether

From their perspective they’d rather your friends go to famfrit over you going to cactaur

It’s a dumb system because people just server travel anyway but that’s the logic

I honestly wouldn't be nearly as bothered by this system if I could just access my retainers while traveling. Not even for the marketboard, I just wanna be able to adjust their gear and send them on ventures.
