A valid point, but when you are in another DC, you have no access to your retainers, you cannot gather limited nodes, and you cannot use FC buffs. All these inconveniences stemming from the compromise are due to a problem beyond your control.

Also certain times of day are far worse for these issues, so it may actually be nigh on impossible during the times OP can play, but not others.


Knowing that you can just loose millions of gil worth of materials or hours of progress because of how common disconnects are is so utterly demoralizing that many of us just don't want to bother to begin with. Why should I get back on my solo deep dungeon grinding when I get disconnected every day? I won't make any real progress

At the moment, people can't savages prog without getting disconnected halfway. One would think something would have been done in anticipation of the savage release.

DC near daily, with the times generally falling between 3 and 7PM EST. I live near Cincinnati and have great internet. My DC's never corelate to other internet issues as streaming and gaming on other systems never lag or break at the same time.

If you're playing on PC, install Cloudware Warp. Someone on the forum recommended it and I haven't gotten d/c once since I installed it.

I was in a party where people knew there would be DCs, so they had Warp and other VPNs already up and running. In the midst of a fight, some were still disconnected from the server. Cloudware's Warp can sometimes randomly disconnect in the background, causing you to disconnect from the server even when there isn't a DDoS.

I completely agree with you on deep dungeon, a single disconnect will end your run immediately and it's extremely frustrating when doing solo runs from floor 1-100.

As for ultimates, clears are still possible, I cleared UCOB and UWU during the worst of the DDOS I did get disconnected during golden bahamut and predation which is frustrating, but if the party knows what they're doing they'll clear without a problem.
