Most of this is just corporate word salad.

New experiences and fresh surprises? We haven't had anything truly new since Stormblood, and surprises would imply that they would need to take risks, which they haven't done since Heavensward.

Everything they've learned? They've learned a few things but in many ways they have clearly regressed.

Setting aside those remarks though, the statement is mostly a nothing burger

Unless it’s a grounded, factual statement that is clear as crystal, you should assume it’s marketing speak with a hint of foreshadowing.

Evolving market and the way you play points to the switch 2 version and content that can be played in 30 min or 15 min chunks.

The already announced quantum should play a big part in the future.

I hope this also indicates that they really understand the quality of the story will raise or sink this game very quickly.

It may be corporate word salad, but I do think what they are proposing vis-a-vis mobile is not completely out of line.

That said, I still think we are looking square in the face of an Eighth Calamity, and, from there...

(Again, no, I do not necessarily believe the game will be shut down for any length of time outside of a reset of the areas, etc. and so forth.)

I dont think it portends much for the future. There has been an increasing disconnect between what he says and the game reality. more simplified classes? check. more solo friendly? check.

I do not see many changes coming that would involve anything complicated.. except more DDR boss mechanics
